All changes must be rec'd by 5:30 pm Eastern Monday thru Friday and by 4 pm Eastern on Saturday and Sunday to insure they are input for that day's sim. If I sim later, I'll input whatever I've got at the time but to guarantee they make that day's game, the above deadlines should be observed!
SIMS Two FHL days will be simmed per day. In cases of extended absences by the commissioner or technical problems, additional days may be simmed for periods to make up for lost time. Order of operations for the sim is as follows: 1. Process any GM info changes. 2. Auto all lines 3. Load submitted lines 4. Sim games 5. Process trades, position changes, trade, releases, prospect promotions and player signings. 6. Run salary cap status program 7. Output HTML 8. Upload/update site LINES Lines should be submitted regularly and at least once per week. Also, submitting new lines after a trade is critical as the sim will crash if your lines contain a player no longer on your team. Lines should be submitted using the GM Editor (link avail on main page) and sent to bpate@canadiansimhockey.com. TRADES Trades must be posted on the message board when agreed to. Posts should include the players, cash and specific draft picks (i.e. "DET 3rd '04" not just "a 3rd rounder"). When approved, the commissioner will reply to the post indicating the approval. If a trade is denied, a reply will be posted indicating the reason(s) why. PLAYER RELEASES To release players, send an e-mail to the commissioner with the player(s) to be released. The cost of releasing a player is detailed in the rules. WAIVER CLAIMS To claim a player off waivers, notify the commissioner. If your claim is successful, the player must be placed on your pro roster. POSITION CHANGES To switch a player's position, contact the commissioner with the appropriate info. The restrictions and cost of player position changes are spelled out in the rules. PROSPECT PROMOTION To promote a prospect from the junior league, contact the commisioner. Rookie salary structure info is available here. Prospect promotions in the off-season are free and cost $20,000 during the regular season. No players may be added to your pro and farm roster during the playoffs. PLAYER SIGNINGS To sign a player off the unassigned list, e-mail the commissioner with the player(s), years and salary. The offer will be posted for one day and if no other offers are recieved, the contract will be approved.
