The legendary of this Hall of Fame member began in the 2001 CSH season as a member of the Los Angeles Kings being named the winner of the Hart Memorial Trophy as the CSH Most Valuable Player.  The 2002 season was memorable for the tall center as Lemieux recorded 41 goals and 46 assists and followed that up with a sensational 2003 campaign scoring 43 goals and 53 assists for a career high of 96 points as a member of the Los Angeles Kings.  The following season saw Lemieux join inter state rival Anaheim as a member of the Ducks organization and although the zip code had changed, his on ice performance continued to be stellar as he notched another 47 goals and added 47 assists for a 94 point campaign in his first year as a member of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.  The 2005 campaign began in Anaheim but would not end there.  Lemieux was traded part way through the season to the Minnesota Wild along with Jason Hoiness in exchange for Bobby Holik, Alexander Korolyuk, Dennis Grebeshkov and Ritchie Caron.  Lemieux finished the season once again turning in solid numbers for this now ageing veteran.  After announcing the 2006 campaign would be his last in the CSH, Lemieux began the season with the Wild but eventually was dealt to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a 1st and 2nd round draft choice.  Lemieux played the final 26 games of his spectacular CSH career as a member of the Panthers before retiring at the conclusion of the season.
